We are seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Superintendent to supervise projects and be instrumental in the company's continued growth and success.

 

Summary:

Position is responsible for overseeing daily operations of all phases of field construction from initial planning to completion, on schedule, within budget and to the level of quality expected by MC Hotel Construction and the Owner. The position requires an understanding of the construction business, safety compliance and the ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The successful Project Superintendent needs excellent business judgment, a strong work ethic, demonstrate a sense of urgency, be organized and detail oriented, self-motivated, have outstanding problem solving skills, be team player, have excellent communication and diplomatic skills along with an ability to handle and resolve conflict in a fair but firm manner.

 

The Site Superintendent's primary responsibilities include solving unexpected events, maintaining general performance and overall progress of the project while building a foundation of trust with our teams.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • LEADERSHIP AND TEAM MANAGEMENT: Direct and control the total construction project to meet specifications within the allotted time schedule in an efficient manner to produce the expected profit.
  • PROJECT PLANNING AND COORDINATION: Oversee quality assurance, identify potential issues and produce RFIs, submittals and change order requests. Work with the project manager to prepare a schedule of construction activities and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure they perform their work effectively and within the project schedule.
  • PROJECT OVERSIGHT: Provide support to the operations team to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget goals are met or exceeded. Implement and reinforce field safety and reporting. Perform material and quantity estimates for each phase of work.
  • RELATIONSHIP DEVELOPMENT: In all communication, develop strong relationships with the MC Hotel team, including staff, clients, sub-contractors, and more. Build trust throughout these interactions while exceeding client and team satisfaction

 

 

 

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 5 years lead superintendent experience in a fast paced, multi-tasking, service oriented environment. Wood-frame experience required and hotel experience preferred
  • Construction related Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Exceptional work ethic with a desire to complete tasks on schedule with excellence
  • Flexible and willing to make difficult decisions quickly
  • Familiarity with project management and accounting software required (CMiC, Procore, Field Wire, Plangrid)
